Garden Design Case Study – Spencers Wood

<< Back

This project was completed in 2019/20 and involved a complete transformation of the garden.  The client provided Owen with some mood board ideas and Owen drew up plans for the garden design and landscape.

The garden was excavated, removing the old lawn and tree stumps before work began.

Several raised beds, steps and border edging were built as per design using good quality pressure treated softwood sleepers

Owen built a greenhouse base and set up electric cabling for the garden lighting and water feature.

A 50m2 patio was installed using Global Stone paving. The patio was laid upon sand and cement mix in a random pattern with the rain water draining away from the house with a shingle gap installed where needed against the house. Each individual slab was pre-sealed underneath with SBR Bonding agent before being laid. The patio was finished with a strong and consistent pointing mix.

Pathways were installed using clay brick pavors. The team provided gravel paths and raised beds and Owen provided a full planting service after consulting what plants the client wanted. A new lawn was laid using top quality fresh turf.

Premium Willow screening was supplied and installed along the right hand boundary fence.

To complete the project, Owen installed a water feature supplied by the client.

The client has since has further projects completed including work to the front garden and loves their new space.
