Landscape Case Study – Barkham Summer 24

<< Back

Following the ground clearance and excavation of the current patio and its sub-base, a new patio was installed measuring 148m²  using 900cm by 600cm Frosty Grey porcelain paving slabs supplied by  London Stone. The patio was laid in a staggered pattern with the rain water draining away from the house with a 100mm gravel trap installed against the house and top wall. Each individual slab was pre-sealed underneath with Slurry primer before being laid.

The Patio extended around the pond area and two square to round recess drain covers were installed within the patio. These will be  done to look part of the patio whilst still allowing access.

A total of six steps were incorporated within the patio. The steps were initially re-built using engineering bricks before being cladded with porcelain. The steps were then topped with the manufacturers pre bull nosed slabs.

ROSE COTTAGE CLAY PAVERS  were then installed to define the bottom patio and path with the lawn.

Armoured cable was laid in place in preparation for new electric lighting to be installed around the water feature area.
