This family garden landscape project in Tilehurst, completed in October 2021, started with removal of a line of conifer trees at the back of the garden and then ground clearance and excavation of patio slabs, pergola, shrubs and lawn.
The fence was replaced and a retaining wall was built in front of the new fence to retain the ground on that side of the garden. We also created a small border for new plants as well.
A new brick wall was built to create the two different levels within the garden. A new Global Stone York Green patio was laid.
Rose Cottage Pavors were installed to define the patio, steps and path with the lawn.
The new area of lawn had the soil rotovated a number of times with any debris such as large stones and roots removed from site.
Two tonnes of good quality screened top soil was then brought in. The soil was raked level and compacted in preparation for the installation of 36m² of high quality turf.
A new base for a shed was installed to the right of the garage door using some of the old paving slabs.
The slabs were laid upon a full concrete base and sit just a bit higher than patio height.
To finish the project, a new shed was installed.
The client was fantastic to work with and kept us supplied with refreshments throughout the project. We hope the family will be very happy enjoying their upgraded garden.
